Looking for 2d Artists/Animators

Hi there,

after a lot of contemplation, I decided to start developing a game. I want to create a 2d Metroidvania game. This is a lot of work and I don't have talent art wise. I'm a programmer who builds software for the finance sector <_< but my passion was always game development. I decided to build a 2d sidescroller because these are the games I truly enjoy.

Currently I'm building the development tools. I use Monogame for the content pipeline. I intentionally decided against an complete engine like Unity, as I also want to learn the development process from the ground up. Also, a small tool has less overhead and the game will be easier to optimize.

A friend of mine has a talent for art and will be helping. I think the art is too much work for just one person, therefore I'm looking for someone who is willing to help us with the game and who wants to be part of our team.

Preferably, someone who also likes this types of games and is skilled in pixel art (which is our preferred choice).

The main game concept and story/characters are not really fleshed out yet, so you could actively design the game with us.

If you are interested or have any questions, please write a personal message.

By the way, no the game is not named yet :D

Hi I'm traditional artist that has recently turned to digital mediums. I want to someday work in the industry and this seems like a good way to get to started.
