Consumer Level Cell Processors?

Will the cell ever be adapted for personal desktop use? either as the central processor, or as a card? Thoughts, opinions, info?

No way too hard to program so it never really took off and there are already signs that it's going away if anything.
Nvidia is already selling desktop supercomputers as you can see here. I wouldn't wait around for the Cell versions anytime soon.
It will never catch up with GPU's which are way ahead with a rich set of developer tools (compilers, profilers, debuggers) for popular programming languages APIs like C, C++, Fortran than the Cell ever was.
