Hey, I tried deleting three partitions on my Dell XPS laptop and was just going to install windows vista on it... But the problem is that when I start up the computer even with the disk it comes up with the error: NTDLR is missing(this is after booting from the CD Rom) If anyone has anyidea what so ever is going on please let me know thanks

most windows install disk will ask you to press a key at start up to boot from the hard disk, other wise it will boot into the setup sequence it may require you to press 'F8' or something likewise, look at what it ask carefully. also i would recommend getting an upgrade disk for windows 7 it is worth it. it uses memory much better and seems to be much more stable.
