Big Huge Games (www.bighugegames.com) is actively pursuing qualified computer artists & character animators to join our experienced and talented team. We''re currently in the process of developing a REAL-TIME STRATEGY game to be published by MICROSOFT in late 2002. =================================== Big Huge Games was founded in February of 2000 by four veteran game developers: Brian Reynolds, Jason Coleman, Tim Train, and David Inscore. These founding partners have brought strategy gamers such classic hits as Civilization II®, Colonization™, and Alpha Centauri™. Having recently announced a multi-title deal with Microsoft, a publisher that shares a common vision and passion for creating great games, Big Huge looks forward to a relationship that provides them with the time and resources needed to surpass their previous outstanding achievements. Big Huge is intent on creating a fun and focused environment where teams of artists, programmers, and designers work hand-in-hand to craft the next generation of real-time strategy games. Above all, BHG is committed to producing only ''AAA'' titles in an enjoyable, friendly atmosphere. Big Huge Games is located in Baltimore, Maryland. Washington D.C. is less than an hour to the south and New York City is three hours to the northeast. =================================== Of course we offer competitive salaries, plus... If we sell X, you get Y: clearly documented, royalty-based bonus plan far in excess of industry standard. You have a stake: stock options given to all full-time employees. Just for being you: we will contribute the equivalent of 3% of your gross salary to your 401(k) plan, with no matching or participation required on your part. Room for advancement: get in on the ground floor of a fun, energetic, fresh, and well-funded company. Pick your signing bonus: Your choice of XBOX, Playstation2, Pocket PC, Visor Prism, or Palm m505. No CUBELAND: Everyone gets his or her very own office, with real walls, and a door that opens and closes. Take a little time off: generous paid vacation, personal days, sick leave, & holidays. You gotta have FUN to make FUN: Pool Table, Ping Pong, Speed Chess, Age of Kings, Quake, Half-Life, Descent, and anything else we can convince the IRS is a "necessary business expense". All MP3, all the time: We''ve started with a 150GB MP3 server and once that''s full, well... we''ll get another 150gigs. Movie Screenings: Periodically the BHG Team will take the afternoon off to see the latest blockbuster release. Just recently the team viewed Tomb Raider & Final Fantasy. We''ve got you covered: Life Insurance, disability, and fully funded health plan with dependent and domestic partner coverage. Our health plan is a 100/80 Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO plan, so you''ll get to choose your own doctor and no gatekeeper. It''s a girl!: Maternity/Paternity leave (for birth and adoption). Junior''s School Play: Flex options to accommodate family needs. =================================== Contact Info: A demo reel on VHS (NTSC) or CD-ROM is required. Color printouts are also accepted. Demo reels and portfolios are only returnable if accompanied by a SASE with proper postage. If you wish a confirmation of delivery, please include a SASE with your resume. No phone calls please. Resumes without demo reels and/or portfolios will not be considered. Initial inquiries and URL submissions (preferred) can be sent to artjobs@bighugegames.com. Digital samples may be attached to an email but must be zipped and under three megabytes per attachment.
