How to become a videogame console developer?

Hello I'd like to know how could someone become a videogame console developer. I was thiking in becoming a computer engineer and then doing a master. Would that work?

Do you mean a game developer for a console? Or a hardware architect for one?

The ones that think the structure, the specificantions a console should hav, etc.. I would be the hardware part

Well, getting a degree in computer engineering, then getting a few years of experience (at the very least) would do it, i would think. The problem comes in with the fact that console development is a very niche market, not to mention development on a new console does not start until a year or so before a consoles life span is ending. So really, your chances are going to be slim if you just want to do consoles.
