Winsock does not like me =(

So i entered "if (w.wVersion!=0x0101)" instead of "if (w.wVersion!=0x0202)" and it froze like usual. Then i tried keeping the wVersion as it is and changed the WSAstartup back to 2.2 and it said "Error you need winsock 2.2 or whatever". It seems my computer doesn''t want to run winsock. Please i need help

If it''s not doing anything, it''s got to be hanging somewhere. place a breakpoint on the first line and debug the app. I would be very surprised (although not shocked) if you didn''t even reach your breakpoint. From there just keep stepping until it hangs.

Um.. your code works! any ideas?

I added "printf("THIS WORKS"!!);" at the end of it and it worked. that is very strange!

*update* i added your code to the project i posted up at the beginneing up there and it worked but it couldn't bind the socket? any ideas?

THANK YOU SO MUCH THO FOR GETTING THIS TO WORK FOR ME! I LOVE YOU
