I finally completed my third

I finally completed my third and final class in AutoCAD. It's rather fun, but from a software engineering viewpoint I don't envy the Autodesk folks one bit. AutoCAD is such a mind-numbing patchwork of old and new that I don't know how they update the thing. For example, there are three different ways to draw surfaces and models in 3D that are basically incompatible with each other. There are two ways to draw text. The list goes on and on. There's some genuine brilliance in the program, but there are a thousand ragged edges.
I'm working on my stuff for the GDC coverage, starting on the 20th. I'm doing the expo floor, similar to
last year, only expanded and organized differently. Hopefully I can give you a taste of what it was like on the frenetic expo floor.
I was thinking of putting up a techno-music MIDI background to give you a true taste of the thing, but I'll spare you :)
