Note that this is only killing the original product that sold through Expert. It doesn't affect my current pack, Top 50 Blazing Windows Games, which are still selling strongly.
Had a very nice exchange over the past couple of weeks. I got an email from a fan of my stuff in Sweden. He had finished all 60 levels of the original Bulldozer (presumably from the aforementioned German 24 Games) but was dismayed to find that, although a Bulldozer II existed, he couldn't buy it locally. Problem is, Expert started its long slow decline around the time of Arcade Magic, and international versions of my later stuff never really happened.
To add insult to injury, he couldn't order the latest game-pack, even though Cosmi sells a downloadable version. Apparently Digital River doesn't do international orders.
Anyway, he was a nice guy (i.e. he didn't scream about how Think Tank killed his dog), so I sold him a copy of the latest games for cost plus shipping. The cheapest shipping to Sweden was reasonable at $4, but the post office said it'd take 4-6 weeks. We were both pleasantly surprised, though, to find my games on his doorstep in less than a week. A couple of days later, I received a letter from him with payment for the games.
Dunno why, but it always makes me feel good to do a deal on a handshake and to have both parties come through honorably. Keeps up my faith in the goodness of humanity.
