So last thursday I put in the order for my replacement dev machine parts from two online stores; both with FedEx 2day. One store decided to break their shipment into two boxes (concievably due to size/weight). Of the three boxes due to me a full week (plus holiday) after order, one of the split shipment is on a truck to my door. The other two are still in warehouses.

Well, look on the bright side.
You have 1/3 of a development computer when the truck shipment arrives. You could conceivably lay these parts out on a desk and pretend that it's a full computer.

Well, I'm not getting all of a new computer... the case/kb/mouse/monitor have been sitting where they belong for weeks while I am banished to the pokey-ness of the wife's computer... [bawling]
